Manufacturers often use different Terminology to describe various components and equipment. In an effort to simplify and help our customers identify the correct items that they need, we have put together the above visual reference for Auger Bit Terminology that is most commonly used. 

To further assist, here is a chart with part numbers for the different Auger Bit Components we offer;

The HD99, C-71-H, & 1M5C Augers from Ground Hog Inc all utilize a 7/8" Square Drive.

The ModelONE Auger from Ground Hog Inc utilizes a 1" Round Drive.

General® Equipment Augers Utilize a 1-3/8" Hex Drive. The AA-GE Adapter will allow General Auger Bits to be used on Ground Hog Inc HD99, C-71-5, & 1M5C Earthdrill Augers.

Little Beaver® Augers Utilize a 1-1/4" Square Drive. The AA-LB Adapter will allow Little Beaver Auger Bits to be used on Ground Hog Inc HD99, C-71-5, & 1M5C Earthdrill Augers.
